This is the first sighting of globally threatened species, the King Cobra's nest from Shivapuri-Nagarjun National Park.

Awareness raising workshops were conducted for communities and school children in Kavrepalanchok district recently under the project "Proactive Pangolin Protection: Building law enforcement and community capacity to reduce the pangolin trade in Nepal".

Studying globally threatened snake, King Cobra has become Himalayan Nature's regular activity since 2016. We are focused on developing more information regarding nesting ecology of King Cobra along with other aspects.

Himalayan Nature signed a project agreement with ZSL Nepal to be implemented in Ghoodaghodi Lake Complex.

Himalayan Nature has been studying various aspects of King Cobra; including distribution, nesting ecology, threats to survival and local perception in Northern Makwanpur in Central Nepal for last three years.
