Mid-winter Waterbird Count 2021 - updates

With the beginning of the new year, big season arrives for bird lovers in the country. The reason is the Asian Waterbird Census (AWC). As a part of AWC, Himalayan Nature is hosting mid-winter waterbirds count in Nepal. To make the program success, more than 300 supporters (citizen scientists, researchers, ornithologists) are voluntarily travelling to the various wetland habitats throughout the country to support /conduct waterbirds count.
Several media houses (printed and online news, radios and televisions) of Nepal have actively covered this news to share among the wider audiences and raise awareness among the general public to the conservation of waterbirds and their habitats.
